The princess (31) gave her “yes” to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (37) in a secret ceremony.
After having postponed the wedding Due to the corona pandemic, Princess Beatrice is now married.
According to several British media, the private ceremony took place in secret at the All Saints Chapel in Windsor Great Park.
The private wedding ceremony between Princess Batrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi took place at 11 a.m. Friday, a Buckingham Palace spokesman told The Telegraph.
The couple was supposed to have gotten married in the royal chapel at St. James Palace on May 29 with 150 guests present. The ceremony was postponed, but no new date was announced. There was originally also to be a reception at Buckingham Palace after the wedding with 300 guests.
The spokesperson further says Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were present during the private ceremony, along with about 20 other guests who consisted of close family.
Beatrice is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. She is with the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth. The father Prince Andrew must according Evening Standard has followed the daughter to the altar.
The couple announced that they were engaged in September 2019, after months of speculation. The two are said to have become engaged during a trip to Italy.
