“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce that their daughter was born safely on Saturday 18 September 2021, at 23.42, at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London”, it says.
Furthermore, the press release states that the baby weighs 2.8 kilos.
“The newborn baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are happy about the news. The family would like to thank the hospital staff for their fantastic treatment “, it continues.
In conclusion, the royal family states that both the princess and the baby are well.
“The couple is looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.”
“This year I had the great honor of becoming a stepmother, and it has been remarkable to go back to some of my own favorite stories at bedtime,” the princess wrote.
The wedding was not announced in advance, and took place in secret with only the immediate family present – including the bride’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth (95) and the late grandfather Prince Philip.
About 20 people are said to have attended the ceremony. The bride had borrowed a dress from the queen for the occasion.
The vintage dress was designed by Norman Hartnell, and was tailored by Queen Elizabeth’s private designer.
Princess Beatrice’s husband has previously been engaged to American architect Dara Huang. They broke off the engagement after three years in 2018, the same year it became known that he had begun a relationship with the British princess.
