Princess Ariane has arrived in Italy. The daughter of Willem-Alexander and Máxima is finishing high school in the Italian village of Duino.
“Arrived in Italy”, can be read on the official Instagram page of the Royal House with a photo of a smiling Ariane. The sixteen-year-old princess will soon start her last two years of secondary school here, which she will follow at the United World College of the Adriatic.
The school belongs to the United World Colleges, just like the school in Wales where Ariane’s sister Alexia recently graduated. In total, there are eighteen of these schools around the world.
Princess Ariane will take six self-selected courses from six different disciplines. These include languages, social sciences, natural sciences and arts subjects. She also learns to do research, write and think critically. If Ariane succeeds, she will receive an International Baccalaureate.
