Anne most popular family member, appreciation for Meghan at all-time low
William and Catherine (both 41), Prince and Princess of Wales, are no longer at the top of the list of most beloved members of the British royal family. They have to give up the first place in the monthly popularity poll of research agency YouGov to Princess Anne (72).
The sister of King Charles and aunt of William is regarded as the most hard-working royal due to her large number of official appointments. Last year alone, she performed 214 appointments, more than any other family member.

After Anne, William and Catherine, Charles is in fourth place. His popularity has declined slightly since he came to power in September last year.
The popularity of Meghan Markle (41) in the United Kingdom is at an all-time low. According to the poll, about seven in ten Britons have a negative image of the Duchess of Sussex.
Madeleine is not yet returning to Sweden
The Swedish princess Madeleine (41), youngest daughter of King Carl Gustaf, postpones the return to her motherland until next year. She has lived mainly in the US for thirteen years.
Earlier this year, the court in Stockholm announced that Madeleine would move with her family from Florida to Sweden this summer. She wants her children Leonore (9), Nicolas (8) and Adrienne (5) to be brought up in Sweden. The move was scheduled for August so that her daughters and son could start at their new school after the holidays.

Madeleine and her British-American husband Chris O’Neill (49) have now determined that they have too little time to get everything arranged, a palace spokesman said. Due to the changed plans, the children will still go to school in Florida next school year.
The king’s daughter met Chris in New York in 2011, where their first daughter Leonore was born in 2014. They have also lived in Stockholm and London. In 2018 they moved to Florida.
Royal Palace not open this year
The Royal Palace in Brussels will remain closed to the public this summer for renovation works. The facade will be renovated and the 700 windows will be better insulated.
The daily work at the palace continues — for example, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde welcomed the Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima there last week. But it is impossible to receive hordes of tourists.

However, it has been a tradition since the late 1960s for the king to open his workplace after the national holiday on 21 July until the end of August. Last year it attracted 70,000 visitors. The next opening is planned for the summer of 2024.
Grand Duchess María Teresa in colorful Natan
Grand Duchess María Teresa (67) put on an appropriate outfit for a garden party of the Luxembourg royal family: a white dress with images of green leaves. She had bought it from Natan.
María Teresa has been a customer of the Brussels fashion house of designer Edouard Vermeulen for years, just like queens Mathilde and Máxima. This dress is for sale online for 745 euros.

The ‘garden party’ was an offshoot of the national holiday and took place in Berg Castle, the main residence of the Grand Ducal couple in the municipality of Colmar-Berg. Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess María Teresa (68) welcomed 300 guests, from politicians to civil servants and business leaders to figures from the cultural sector.
Christian gets a driver’s license
Danish Prince Christian (17) has passed his driving test. The son of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary is now allowed to hit the road, albeit not on his own. For the time being, he must be accompanied by an adult over the age of thirty who has also held his driving license for ten years.
The traffic law in Denmark prescribes that only people over eighteen may drive “unsupervised”. Although Christian does not have to wait long for that: he will turn 18 on October 15. He will then officially be of age. Christian is second in line to the throne , after his father Crown Prince Frederik (55). One day he will become King of Denmark. Now his grandmother Margrethe (83) is still head of state.
