Moved to tears
Elizabeth fell asleep quietly at Balmoral, after a lifetime of public service.
Now the daughter, Princess Anne (73), can reveal new details about the late queen’s last days, writes The Guardian.

The queen still allowed herself to be greatly influenced by the royal duties, even towards the end of her life, says the daughter in a new documentary about the inauguration of King Charles (75), which will be broadcast on the BBC on Boxing Day.
According to Anne, Elizabeth must have expressed concern about where she was going to die.
Revealing the Queen’s “secret”
– I think there was a moment when she felt that it would be more difficult if she died at Balmoral. And I think we tried to convince her that it shouldn’t be part of the decision-making process.
Balmoral was said to be Elizabeth’s favorite place, but she knew that there were elaborate plans for her demise, so she worried that dying in Scotland would cause additional problems for those initiating the so-called “London Bridge” plan.

That is the name given to the operation for her death. Different plans were in place for each of the main royal residences. The plans around Balmoral, located in Scotland, were codenamed “Operation Unicorn”.
– So I hope she felt that it was right at the end, because we think so, she continues to laugh.
Reveals: – Private moment
The princess says in the documentary that it was a coincidence that she was at Balmoral before her mother’s death, and she strangely felt a sense of relief when the royal crown jewels were removed from her casket – a symbolic moment, showing Charles taking over the role of head of state.
