As the ‘presumptive successor of the king’, Amalia is entitled to a constitutional benefit from December 7, 2021. In the estimate published last year, that payment is set at 1,587,000 euros. Part of this is personal income (282,000 euros) and the largest part is intended for personnel and material expenses (1,305,000 euros).
Because there is only a small part of 2021 left in December, the Princess of Orange – her official title – will receive around 107,000 euros on the basis of that estimate. Of that, 19,000 euros is income. Exactly how much she will receive in the following year 2022 will not be known until the next Budget Day in September 2021.
