The relationship between Prince Harry and Prince William is increasingly distant and it does not seem that the rift that separates them will heal anytime soon. In fact, they recently met at the funeral of Lord Robert Fellowes, husband of their aunt Jane Fellowes, but they did not speak to each other during the funeral.
One of the few things that unites them at this moment is, precisely, their family and the rest of the circle of friends that they share, and it seems that Spanish chef José Andrés is one of them.
The chef maintains a close relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, whom he interviewed in 2021 in “Time” magazine when their names entered the list. The list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Then, it was Meghan Markle who participated in “The World Central Kitchen Cookbook: Feeding Humanity”, a cookbook that includes recipes from many other famous faces and whose profits went to José Andrés’s charity, World Central Kitchen.
Now, it is Prince William who has wanted to “steal” the Spanish chef from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and sign him for his next project. This is The Earthshot Prize, an award that aims to recognise the work of people and organisations in caring for the environment. The Prince of Wales has chosen José Andrés to be part of the Awards Councilwhich is responsible for selecting the laureates. He is joined by new members Wanjira Mathai, a Kenyan environmentalist and activist, vice president and regional director of the Africa at the World Resources Institute; and Nemonte Nenquimo, an indigenous activist and member of the Huaorani nation from the Amazon region of Ecuador.
The rest of the Council is made up of other well-known names, such as Prince William himself, Queen Rania of Jordan, Cate Blanchett or Stella McCartney.
Prince Harry targets the UK
Four years after the infamous “Megxit”, it seems that Prince Harry is reportedly reconsidering his return to the UK and resume some of his duties with the Crown. This has been confirmed in recent days by various British media, which insist that the Duke of Sussex has contacted members of the team he worked with when he was still in the service of the Royal House to organize a gradual return.
The objective would be twofold: regain the lost trust of the British people and the favor of his familyIt remains to be seen whether Meghan Markle will also be included in the equation or whether she will remain in the United States, away from the people who, she says, did so much harm to her.
