Prince William might also discover that he has found his match with little Prince George. The seven-year-old has had private lessons from Roger Federer at the Middleton family home in Bucklebury.
Prince George seemed to really enjoy his time at Wimbledon this year.
Roger is a long-time friend of the Middleton family and he and his wife Mirka even attended Pippa’s wedding to James Matthews in 2017.
During her visit to Wimbledon in 2019, Kate revealed that George was a huge tennis fan and had been practicing his swing with the sports star. When asked about George’s progress, Roger told reporters that the Little Prince showed promise, adding: “At that stage, it’s all about touching the ball. Now it is OK. The same with my children.”
It was the Prince’s first time this year.
On being informed that he was George’s favorite tennis player, Roger said with a smile: “I think I have a little advantage that I actually spent some time, you know, with him. So maybe I’m the only player he’s ever met.” then you have a bit of an advantage over who your favorite player is.” He added, “Look, he’s a cute boy. I love to see that they like tennis or sports. Definitely. You know, his mother has always liked tennis. That is all. I hope he keeps saying the same thing.” in a few years.”
This year, George attended his first trip to Wimbledon and he looked happier than ever to watch the professionals during the men’s final on the final day of the tournament, sitting happily alongside his parents, William and Kate.
