Britain’s Prince William personally arranged for an Afghan acquaintance to be evacuated from the country. That reports the Daily Mail.

Prince William knew the Afghan soldier from their time together at Sandhurst Military School. When he learned that the man, who was part of the Afghan government army and allegedly cooperated with the British, was trapped with his family in the chaos at Kabul airport, he is said to have ordered his military attaché to intervene.
Attaché Rob Dixon would then have contacted British army personnel in Kabul, after which the Afghan soldier and his family would have been given access to a British evacuation flight. “This intervention is completely in line with the values we instill in the military: loyalty, and respect for others,” said Major Andrew Fox.
The United Kingdom has evacuated about 15,000 people from Afghanistan in recent weeks, but numerous Afghans who provided hand-holding services to the British are said to have remained in the country after the evacuation missions ended Monday.
