Prince William mourns the deaths of his friend Mark Jenkins and his son Peter. The couple died Thursday in a plane crash in Kenya.
The Prince of Wales commemorates the two in a two-part tweet. “Yesterday I lost a friend who has dedicated his entire life to protecting the wildlife of some of East Africa’s largest wildlife parks. My thoughts go out to Mark’s wife, family and colleagues who have lost someone we all loved,” Prince William wrote, closing the message with a ‘W’.
It is customary for both Prince William and his wife Princess Catherine to end a personal message with their first initials. It is not yet clear how the accident above the Tsavo National Park could have happened.
