The heir to the British throne and his wife Kate visited the family restaurant The Indian Streatery during their trip to Birmingham, central England. At one point, Prince William received a call from a customer who wanted to make a reservation for two people.
After checking with the owners where the restaurant was, he discussed with the caller when a table would be available and whether he would have time to eat before his train left. “What name is that under?” said the prince as he ended the conversation without revealing his name to the caller. “I’ll see you at a quarter to three,” he concluded.
“I hope we told this customer to come to the right place…!” William and Kate tweeted after visiting the restaurant. They supplemented the post with a laughing photo.
As well as taking bookings, the royal couple also helped prepare meals in the kitchen before continuing their visit to the city with a game of darts in the underground bar. In addition, William and Kate met future leaders and local entrepreneurs from the creative industries in the city.
