In 2012, it was reported that Prince Turki bin Saud al-Kabir was involved in a dispute in al-Thumama, an area on the outskirts of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The murder case was then handled by the state court, which issued a death order for Prince Turki bin Saud. This is the first death sentence that the Arab royal family has received in more than four decades.
