Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Sad news comes from Saudi Arabia. The country’s prince died in a plane crash.

Reported Russia Today (RT), the kingdom made an official announcement Thursday local time. Reports in Arab media claimed the prince died in a plane crash.

“Saudi Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud died at the age of 62,” wrote Russi Today, quoted Friday (8/12/2023).

The Saudi Arabian royal court also announced that funeral prayers would be held for the deceased. This was done at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh.

Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz is the son of Prince Bandar and the grandson of the first king of Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz. He was born in 1961 and is a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He served as assistant chief of intelligence at GIP, Saudi Arabia’s intelligence agency, from 2004 to 2012. Although the court statement did not reveal the cause of his death, Lebanese news outlet Al Mashhad reported that the prince died when his F-15 fighter jet crashed during a training exercise with the military. air on Thursday morning.
