Prince Norodom Ranarit passed away

The prince was the son of the deceased king of Cambodia, Norodom Sihanouk, and the half-brother of the current king, Norodom Sihamoni.

On Sunday, November 28, the former Prime Minister of Cambodia, Prince Norodom Ranarit, died in France. He was 77 years old. It is reported by Xinhua citing a statement by the current Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen.

It is noted that before his death he was ill.

The prince was the son of the deceased king of Cambodia, Norodom Sihanouk, and the half-brother of the current king, Norodom Sihamoni.

He led the country’s government from 1993 to 1997, and also headed the lower house of parliament from 1998-2006.
