This summer, the former quit his job for the past two years as a defense attache at the Danish embassy in Paris. The prince says so Picturemagazine.

It is not yet known where he, his wife, Prince Henrik (13), Princess Athena (10) and the dog Cerise will settle.
Additionally, Prince Joachim is the father of Princes Nicolai and Felix with his ex-wife, Countess Alexandra.
Nicolai is currently a student in Paris, where he is doing a year of exchange which is part of his training at Copenhagen Business School, according to the Danish royal house Web sites. Felix, on the other hand, lives in Copenhagen.
The work of Prince Joachim as a defense officer was set for three years with the possibility of an extension. Now it will not be extended, and it is uncertain whether it is according to the wishes of the prince.
He left Denmark in secret
Princess Marie also works at the Danish embassy in Paris as a cultural representative.
Three years in France
It was in 2019 that the Danish royal house announced that the princely family would move to France, the birthplace of Princess Marie. The plan was for Prince Joachim to follow military training at the Ecole Militaire in Paris.
