Monaco Turns Festive, Thanks to Royal Twins!
Forget waiting for Christmas Eve! Monaco is already embracing the holiday spirit with a dazzling display of Christmas lights. And you can thank a pair of adorable royals for kicking off the festivities.
Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, twins of Monaco’s Princely Couple, joined their parents, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene, last weekend to officially illuminate the principality’s Christmas decorations.
The event marked the start of a month filled with festive activities. Traditionally, the couple also hands out Christmas presents during this time. Last year, they spread holiday cheer without their children. Whether the twins will be joining them this year remains to be seen.
A huge golden button marked the moment the lights on several Christmas trees flickered to life, illuminating the town square with festive cheer. A giant, glittering reindeer joined the magical glow. In a heartwarming scene, Prince Albert gave his children a high five, celebrating the official start of the Christmas season in Monaco.
Princess Charlene, always a fashion icon, donned a chic coat from London-based designer Emilia Wickstead, pairing it with stylish leather boots by Gianvito Rossi. Princess Gabriella echoed her mother’s fashion sense with a pair of tall black boots. Like mother, like daughter!
