Will the noose close on Prince Harry? For the past few weeks, the Duke of Sussex has been living with a sword of Damocles over his head and may well be forced to leave American territory. The reason ? One of the interviews he gave after the publication of his memoirs in which he confided in length, breadth and crosswise about his past drug use. In early March, during an interview with Gabor Mate, Prince Harry admitted to consuming substances, without revealing which ones. “I started using it recreationally and then I started realizing how good it was for me”confided the husband of Meghan Markle before adding: “I would say it’s one of the fundamental things in my life that has changed me and helped me deal with the traumas and pains of the past.” Prince Harry also revealed that he had taken cocaine.
“It didn’t do anything to me. It was more of a social thing. It gave me a sense of belonging for sure. It also made me feel different from how I felt, which is in sort of the goal. Marijuana is different, it really helped me,” he explained while admitting to having also tried psychedelics: “It took everything away from me and gave me a feeling of relaxation, liberation, comfort, a lightness that I managed to keep for a while”. Confidences that did not please several elected Americans at all. They therefore asked the American immigration authorities to send them the visa application completed by Prince Harry. By law, anyone applying for a visa to live and work in the United States must check a box to answer the question: “Are you or have you ever been a drug addict?”
Prince Harry ‘properly vetted’?
“It is in the public interest to know how Prince Harry answered the drug question, assured a lawyer. If he’s been honest and open about his drug use, and there’s no reason to believe he hasn’t been, he may well have checked the ‘yes’ box. , in which case he would need a waiver to obtain a visa for admission to the United States.” The Heritage Foundation species monitoring project manager that the authorities will respond to this request. The move would allow the U.S. taxpayer to “understand if Harry declared his drug use”. A necessity according to Mike Howell: “This request is in the public interest in light of the potential revocation of Prince Harry’s visa for use of illicit substances and other issues regarding the Prince’s drug use and whether he was properly vetted before entering. in the USA”.
