Prince Harry has expressed his concern about social networks and web drifts for his son, Archie. He spoke in an article on the Fast Company website.
Since Archie’s birth in May 2019, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been trying everything to protect their son from social networks, paparazzi and the media in general. This is also one of the main reasons for their departure from England. Prince Harry knows it, growing up in the bosom of the royal family is complicated.
“Businesses who buy ads online also need to recognize that our digital world has an impact on the physical world – on our collective health, on our democracies, on the way we think and interact with each other, on the way that we process and trust information. This impact, what does it mean for our children? As a father, this concerns me particularly.“
In this article, Prince William’s brother warns: “Social media divides us. The digital landscape is not going well and companies have the opportunity to reconsider their role in funding and supporting online platforms that have contributed, fueled and created the conditions for a hate crisis, health crisis and of a crisis of truth. Many of us love and appreciate social media. It’s a seemingly free resource for connecting, sharing, and getting organized.“
