Last year the news came that Harry princes (38) worked with a project of the book, that is to say an autobiography. The rights to the book were sold to publisher Penguin Random House in 2021, and by August this year the book will be written and ready for publication later this year.
Now, however, it can BBC they announce that the book will be released on January 10 next year, and that it will be titled “Spare”, which in Norwegian can be translated as “the reserve”.
Go hard: – Be exploited
According to the website, the book will contain the full story behind the decision to retire from royal duties and move to the United States.
– When Princess Diana was buried, billions of people wondered what the princes thought and felt and what their lives would be like. On Harry’s part, that’s the story, the publisher says in a press release, writes the BBC.
In the book, Prince Harry will tell his version of life in the shadow of his brother and readers are promised a “raw and resolutely honest” presentation.
– “Spare” immediately brings readers back to one of the most incendiary images of the twentieth century: two boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin – something the world has looked upon in pain and horror, the press release states.
Reacts: – Not bad for a “child”
The title, “The Reserve”, can be seen in many ways as a nod to the phrase that a monarchy needs “an heir and a reserve”. Since he is his brother, Prince William (40), he is older, he is also the heir. His children also come before Harry in the line of succession. This means that he will probably never sit on the throne, but he will function just as a reserve, in the same way as Princess Märtha Louise in Norway.
When the book deal was announced in 2021, the prince promised he would “reflect on the ups and downs, as well as be accurate and sincere.”
From the book was completed early this fall however, things have happened in the British royal family. Queen Elizabeth died and Prince Harry’s father Charles (73) took the throne. His wife Camilla (75) became queen consort.
This is actually his name
Buckingham Palace, for its part, said it will not comment on the book’s announcement.
