Prince Harry will not attend Prince Philip memorial | showbiz

A memorial service for Prince Philip will be held in the United Kingdom on March 29. He died in April last year at the age of 99. His grandson, Prince Harry, will not be attending the service. A spokesperson confirms this. A reason for his absence is not given. The spokesperson added that Harry “hopes to visit his grandmother soon.”

Harry lives in the United States with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children. He was last in the UK in July last year. Then a statue to his mother, Princess Diana, was unveiled. In January Harry said he “cannot return to England” because of the security risks. Harry pays for his own security in California, but they can’t step in when the family is in the UK. So Harry’s lawyers have written a letter to the Home Office saying they will go to court if the Sussexes are not provided with continued police protection while in Britain. Harry is willing to pay for it himself, his lawyers made that clear.
