Prince Harry unfolds life in the royal family in “intimate and heartfelt” book – NRK Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country

In March, Prince Harry (36) and his wife Meghan (39) gave a little flattering insights in the inner life of the British Royal Family in a much talked about interview with Oprah Winfrey.

In the interview, the couple made allegations about, among other things, poorly disguised racism, rude reception of Meghan and that the relationship between the royal family and the couple was very strained.

According to the BBC’s King’s correspondent Daniela Relph, it was held emergency meetings between several of the royals at the British castle after the interview.

Now the prince reveals that he has more on his mind. He is currently working on a book that is scheduled to be published by Penguin Random House next year.

In the autobiography, Prince Harry will write about the ups and downs of his 36-year life in the royal family.

– I do not write this as the prince I was born, but as the man I have become, the 36-year-old reports in a statement.

From childhood to today

– I have worn many hats over the years, both literally and symbolically – and my hope is that when I tell my story – about the ups and downs, the mistakes, lessons – I can show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than one thinks, the prince writes in a statement according to BBC.

The publisher describes the upcoming release as an “intimate and heartfelt autobiography”.

– Prince Harry will for the first time share his descriptions of experiences, adventures, losses and life experiences that have helped shape him, the publisher writes.

They write that the book will deal with the prince’s life from childhood until today.

– I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I have learned over the course of my life, and I am excited that people can read a first-hand story about my life that is accurate and completely truthful, Prince Harry announces.

– Like living in a zoo

In the podcast Armchair Expert which was broadcast in May, the prince said that he repeatedly considered cutting out the royal house when he was in his 20s.

The 36-year-old claimed in the podcast that being a member of the royal family was like being in the movie “The Truman Show” or like living in a zoo.

It is not yet known what details from the life of the royal family Prince Harry will reveal in the autobiography.

The British royal family has so far not commented on the book plans, but the prince will, according to BBC have informed the family about the autobiography.

According to the publisher, Prince Harry, who recently became a father for the second time, will donate the profits from book sales to charity.
