Prince Harry reportedly skipped the historic royal family portraits for King Charles’ Coronation and left for the US immediately after the main ceremony. As per reports, the Duke of Sussex was already on his way back home to California by 4:33 p.m. London time. This move does not come as a surprise as it was known that Harry would only be in the UK for a touch-and-go visit for the Coronation because the day also marked his son’s birthday. Harry’s priority was only to be there for his father during his coronation and had no plans of staying beyond the main ceremony.
During the Coronation, Prince Harry was reportedly relegated to the third row in the Abbey, with no key role to play, while his brother Prince William was at the forefront of the ceremony. Harry was not invited to take part in the Coronation Procession from the Abbey to Buckingham Palace or the Palace balcony, although he was invited to the portrait session by King Charles. It’s worth mentioning that relations between Prince Harry and the royal family remain at rock bottom, especially with his older brother, whom he accused of physically assaulting him in his memoir Spare.
