“Prince Harry is leading a life in America that is a million miles away from what he wanted with his wife Meghan Markle,” said a royal and public relations expert.
Richard Hillgrove, a public relations consultant who has worked with several high-profile celebrities, says that Harry is beset by a series of difficulties since leaving the UK and is struggling to establish itself in the United States.
In statements to Express.co.uk Hillgrove said: “Unfortunately, Harry is like a rabbit in the spotlight and he gets dazzled by it. He doesn’t seem to be a happy person at all. He seems jaded.”
On Harry’s interview with Tom Bradby in South Africa in 2019, he said: “The funny thing is that in the interview with ITV he said he was retiring from real life because he doesn’t want to be in the spotlight. But later Harry became this ‘creation’ that lives in America. He just needs to be on top of a bus singing with James Corden“.
“He is a million miles away from what he professed he wanted: a private life”, he added.
The expert commented on the Duke of Sussex that “he has a sense of importance and power, but when the puppeteers in America who run Harry and Meghan’s show realize they can’t get much more out of them, they leave and he is sidelined. I’m so sorry for Harry.”
Harry and Meghan Markle married in a lavish ceremony at St. George’s Chapel in 2018. Two years later, on January 8, 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they were abdicating royal duties.
The couple lost the financial benefits of royalty, moved to Canada and today he lives in a 15 million dollar mansion in Montecito, California, along with their children Archie and Lilibet Diana.
