In his new book, Britain’s Prince Harry recounts a confrontation with his brother in 2019 that he claims ended in Prince William physically attacking him.
The confrontation is said to have taken place at Prince Harry’s London home in 2019, and he says Prince William called Harry’s wife Duchess Meghan ‘difficult, rude and insensitive’, he writes The Guardian.

Harry then returned fire and the situation between them is said to have escalated.
– It all happened so fast. She grabbed me by the collar, snatched my necklace and threw me to the ground, writes Prince Harry.
Prince Harry also claims that the attack caused visible injuries to his back. It is said that he landed on a dog bowl that broke under him.
The British royal family has yet to comment on the contents of the book or the allegations against Prince William.
– Meghan was very sad
It is said that he then got up and asked William to leave.
Harry writes that his brother must have asked him to react, but that he refused. William is said to have then left, but returned shortly after and apologised.
When William left again, he is said to have asked Harry not to tell Meghan anything.
“About attacking me?” Harry is said to have said.
– I did not attack you, Harold, replied William.
When Harry told Meghan why he had “bruises and scrapes” on his back, she was reportedly “neither particularly surprised nor angry,” according to the book.
He was, however, “very sad”, according to Harry.

Great expectations
The autobiography “Spare” will be published next week, and is already expected to cause further deterioration in the relationship between Prince Harry and the rest of the British royal family. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan stopped working as royalty in 2020 when they moved to the United States.
Great expectations are attached to “Spare”. In this context the title can be translated as “the reserve” or more negatively as what is left over. The title plays on the expression “an heir and a substitute”, in the sense that it is the duty of the royal family to provide “an heir and a substitute”.
In connection with the publication, Prince Harry has given an interview which will be broadcast next Sunday. In the interview clips, Harry says he wants his father and brother back and wants to be part of a family, not an institution.
The book also comes a month after Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s Netflix documentary “Harry & Meghan” was released on the streaming service.
