Prince Harry has been warned to stay away from King Charles’ coronation in May because he has not yet felt his father’s wrath over comments about Camilla.
It is reported that the British monarch believes that his youngest son has gone too far in criticizing the Queen Consort.
Camilla is mentioned more than 60 times in Harry’s biography “Spare”, with the Duke of Sussex making no secret of his dislike for “that other woman”.
The fact that Harry called her an “evil stepmother” in one of the flashbacks is said to have broken the last measure of King Charles’s patience.
And now Harry has been advised to stay away from the grand celebrations in May, despite the fact that he and wife Meghan Markle have been officially invited to the coronation ceremony.
Paul Burrell, who once served Harry’s mum Princess Diana, advises the 38-year-old prince to ‘stay in America’ with his wife to ‘live a long and happy life’ as he still hasn’t fully felt his father’s wrath despite recently ordered to move out of Frogmore Cottage.
64-year-old Paul Burrell told “Closer” magazine in an interview: “The king’s anger is yet to come upon his son. He has publicly criticized the woman Charles loves.”
“Harry and Meghan should stay in America and live a long and happy life there. They have no life here now. They have turned their backs on the royal family, the country and the people of the country.”
Paul also admitted that while the couple’s arrival at the coronation is still shrouded in mystery, he believes Meghan will hold back because she isn’t “brave and tough enough” to deal with the potential backlash.
The comments come after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle avoided attending the Oscars last Sunday, with a PR specialist suggesting they did so to avoid any negative press coverage.
Public relations consultant Karla Speight said: “Their documentary was not nominated. Meghan isn’t filming right now and I don’t think Harry has any such plans either, although even stranger things have happened to them recently.”
“If they were to attend the Oscars, it would raise a lot of questions as to why, and ultimately it wouldn’t make a good impression because there would be no point in attending.”
Speaking to Express, Carla said there were only three reasons why the royal couple would attend the Oscars.
“If they were nominated, involved in a project or had a project they wanted to promote. Harry and Meghan have none of these reasons, so it was no surprise that they did not attend the ceremony.”
