Prince Harry (39) lost the case against the British authorities on Wednesday. Only hours later comes the news that he is not giving up.

He will reportedly appeal the decision. A legal spokesperson for the prince told the news agency Reuters.
Harry did not win the lawsuit against the government, in which he demanded to have the system of police protection reinstated in his home country. It became clear in London’s High Court The High Court of Justice is the highest court of first instance for civil matters in England and Wales. The court has its seat in the Royal Courts of Justice in London on Wednesday.
Later that day, it becomes clear that the prince is appealing the decision.
Long camp
It is not the first time the prince has been rejected.
Since moving to the United States in 2020, Prince Harry has fought for the right to receive protection when in the UK – a right he previously had as a key member of the royal family.
When the princely couple withdrew from the British royal house four years ago, they lost the right to have security expenses covered.
Most of the court proceedings have been held in private – without the press present – due to confidentiality around evidence about security measures, writes Sky News.
Harry’s lawyers have argued along the way that they believe it is both “illegal and unfair” to reduce security around the prince and his family.
Harry and Duchess Meghan (42) themselves have expressed in documentaries, interviews and books that they find the decision very unreasonable.
Can’t pay myself either
The two have previously also had their applications to pay the police for protection themselves rejected.
The court has concluded that it is against the public interest to allow wealthy people to hire the police in that way.
The last time Harry visited his homeland was earlier this month. Then he was on a 24-hour visit to meet his father, King Charles (75), who had just announced that he had cancer.
Harry and Meghan themselves believe that they are exposed. Last spring, the royal couple came down hard on paparazzi photographers in New York, after what they claimed was a two-hour long, dangerous car chase.
