Bad memories were awakened by the news that Prince Harry, his wife Meghan Markle and her mother were in danger of a car accident after an episodic chase involving the paparazzi.
The “near-disastrous car chase” involving Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, her mother and the paparazzi has been revealed by a spokesman for King Charles’ second son.
The incident occurred after Meghan and Harry left an awards ceremony last night in New York. According to information from Page Six when the three left the event they were followed by 12 paparazzi and then 4 of them started chasing them, causing the security people to do everything they could to lose them.
“This relentless pursuit, which lasted over two hours, resulted in numerous near collisions with other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers,” the spokesman said in a statement.
“While being a public figure comes with a level of public interest, it should never come at the expense of anyone’s safety. “The dissemination of these images, given the manner in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous for all involved,” he said.
Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal roles in 2020 and moved to the US, and among the reasons that led them to this decision was what they said was “intense media harassment”.
