Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in New York on Monday just three days before the release of their Netflix docuseries, ‘Harry & Meghan’.
The former royal couple were all smiles as they stepped off their private jet and were greeted by a group of friends on the runway.
Harry, 38, opted for a white shirt and black pants for the cross-country excursion, while Markle, 41, looked chic in an all-black ensemble with big black sunglasses.
After saying goodbye, the pair hopped into a black SUV and headed for the Big Apple.
The pair are just days away from releasing what is one of the most anticipated docuseries right now.
Markle says the series reveal is a way for the pair to share their side of the story, and sources tell Page Six the pair won’t be holding back anything.
“Harry and Meghan will discuss how they felt their best interests weren’t represented by the Palace, and they will talk about being victims of the Palace’s media machine,” a source told Us.
While another told us the two “allegedly claimed they were bullied by the building.”
“What will become clear is that they suggest their trials and tribulations are related to the biggest problems in the world, like racism,” the Hollywood insider added.
In one of the trailers for the Liz Garbus-directed series, Harry revealed that he fears “history repeats itself” and that his wife will end up with the same fate as his late mother, Princess Diana. .
“It’s a dirty game,” she said as images of Diana and tabloid covers played across the screen. “The pain and suffering of women who marry in this institution”.
“I realized they will never protect you,” Markle added.
During the first trailer — which was fittingly released during Prince William and Kate Middleton’s trip to Boston — the couple shared intimate photos of their life “behind closed doors.”
Despite stepping down from royal duties and falling out with the royal family, sources told Page Six the couple had misgivings about the show following Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September.
“Harry and Meghan have gone nuts for trying to tone down even the simplest language,” the source tells us.
Netflix has confirmed that the first three episodes of the project will release on December 8, as previously revealed by Page Six, and the remaining three on December 15.
