Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are reportedly in isolation in Montecito after becoming estranged from their families. According to TalkTV’s royal correspondent, Rupert Bell, this comes after Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, spoke out about his strained relationship with his daughter in a recent documentary. Thomas expressed his sadness at being “thrown out” of his daughter’s life and questioned why she would do this to her own father.
Rupert noted that both Harry and Meghan are now estranged from their families, with Harry having been very close to his family before he married Meghan. It is said that Harry will return to the UK for just 24 hours to attend his father’s coronation as King before returning to California to be with his wife and children, including their son Archie, who will be celebrating his fourth birthday soon.
Rupert believes that Meghan should be supporting her husband during this important moment and seeing her father-in-law achieve something he’s been waiting over 70 years for. However, he also suggests that Harry’s short visit is a smart move as it allows him to avoid becoming the focus of media attention and avoid becoming “the story” himself.
