Prince Harry and his wife actress Meghan Markle, the Dukes of Sussex, signed a multi-year contract with the Spotify platform as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The agreement intends the collaboration between both parties for the realization of entertainment podcasts through the production company Archewell Audio, a strategic partner of the streaming giant. The first podcast is coming this month and will be a holiday special. “What we love about podcasts is that it reminds us all that we must take a moment to really listen, focus on ourselves without interruptions,” the royal couple explained in a statement.
The amount of the deal is unknown so far, although the first series is expected to launch fully in mid-2021 and can reach the platform’s more than 320 million subscribers globally.
