Today, Thursday 22 July, it is 8 years since Prince William (39) and Duchess Kates (39) became parents for the first time.
Prince George (8) was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, and shortly afterwards the duke couple stood on the hospital stairs to show the little one to the world.
The birthday itself they tend to celebrate with close family – but it is also not uncommon for them shares new photos for the occasion. They have done the same this year.

Prince William and Duchess Kate have this year shared a new portrait of the birthday child, including on Instagram.
The photo, which was shared on Wednesday night, shows Prince George wearing a pair of blue shorts and a blue shirt with orange stripes, while the young prince smiles from ear to ear.
By the picture, the duke couple have written the following:
“Turns eight (!) Tomorrow.”
The followers have also used the opportunity to congratulate the young prince on the day, but several have also felt compelled to express their opinion.
The picture has in fact made more people open their eyes, and there is a seemingly unanimous comment field that believes that Prince George is strikingly similar to his father, Prince William, in the picture.

Earlier in July he appeared at the European Championship match at Wembley Stadium with his parents – and twice. The prince is an avid football fan, so it was probably not just work and toil for the now eight-year-old Prince George.

It was most sensational, though after England lost the European Championship final against Italy. Then there was a clearly marked Prince George to watch in the stands – a reaction that quickly spread like a plague on social media.
