Prince William and Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, had a visit from none other than biologist and television producer David Attenborough last week. Especially for the occasion, he had a 23 million year old present for Prince George. Photos of the visit were distributed by Kensington Palace on Saturday evening.

94-year-old Attenborough paid a visit to Prince William last Thursday. The two watched the biologist’s latest movie together, A Life On Our Planet, in the garden of Kensington Palace. The Prince and Attenborough are each in a classic director’s chair with their names on the back, although they joke in each other’s chairs.
Attenborough has been a good friend of the British Royal Family for many years. He did not arrive empty-handed. Especially for 7-year-old Prince George, who is a big fan of the biologist, he brought a 23-million-year-old basking shark tooth. Attenborough discovered this tooth during a trip to Malta in the late 1960s.
David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet can be seen on Netflix soon. In it Attenborough talks about the impact of humans on nature.
