Despite their titles and status, Prince George and Princess Charlotte must use different names at school. It also awaits little Louis, who is due to start school next month. See what they call the little princes at school.
Although little Prince George and Princess Charlotte are currently enjoying their holidays with their parents William and Kate and younger brother Louis, they will be back at school in a month.
They don’t have it as easy at school as many might think, both children have to get used to different names. Long titles, names and addressing Your Majesty replace the ordinary epithets of their titles and become normal children.
For example, Prince George is called George Alexander Louis with the official title HRH Prince George of Cambridge. At school, however, they call him George Cambridge, the portal reported Mirror.
So is his sister Charlotte, whose full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana and whose official title is Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge. But at school she is known only as Charlotte Cambridge. It is likely that four-year-old Louis, who is about to start school, will also adopt the new name.
Their father Prince William and uncle Prince Harry followed the same rule at school and also used modified versions of their names. The boys’ surnames were determined by the title of their father, Prince Charles, which was Wales. So they were known at school as William and Harry Wales and continued to use these names during their time in the army.
It is rumored that this year William and Kate’s children will enter the new private school Lambrook in Berkshire, after graduating from which many pupils head to prestigious schools including the famous Eton, where their father also went.
