Prince Christian: – Moved out to the prince’s school

Already in April, the Danish Royal Family could tell that prins Christian (16), son of Crown Prince Frederik (53) and Crown Princess Mary (49), was moving away from home this fall.

The 16-year-old will continue his schooling at the boarding school Herlufsholm Gymnasium in Næstved, and will live with other students at the school.

On Wednesday this week, the prince’s school received a lot of attention in the Danish press. A number of newspapers wrote that the army’s ammunition clearers had moved out to Herlufsholm Gymnasium.

According to TV 2 East had a teacher sounded the alarm after he or she had discovered a chemical on the school premises.

Afterwards, a safety zone was established on the spot, and the police said that they chose to blow up the unstable chemical, which was an acid. The chemical was removed through a controlled blast on Wednesday morning.

Prince Christian Valdemar Henri John, as he is actually called, shall according to the plan inherit the Danish throne after his grandmother, Queen Margrethe, and her father.

In other words, it is safe to say that the young prince faces a life unlike most others his age, and even though he today lives like most young people, an enormous responsibility rests on the young shoulders.

It is not known where the Danish prince was when the above incident took place.
