Prince charles, heir to the British crown, tested positive for the new
coronavirus and has “mild symptoms,” announced his services on Wednesday. The 71-year-old son
of Elisabeth II “Stay healthy” with the exception of these symptoms, and “Telework as usual,” Clarence House said in a statement.
The Prince of Wales is currently in Scotland with his wife Camilla, who “has been tested but does not have the virus,” the same source said. “It is not possible to determine with certainty who contaminated the prince because of the many engagements in which he participated in recent weeks,” he said.
Elisabeth II isolated in Windsor
According to the British press, Charles, currently at the Scottish castle of Balmoral, participated on March 10 in an event in London in the presence of Prince Albert II of Monaco, tested positive since at Covid-19.
Elisabeth II, 93, retired for several weeks to Windsor Castle, some 40 kilometers west of London. The British government has asked everyone over the age of 70 to be isolated for 12 weeks.
