Garraway’s husband Derek Draper was hit hard by the virus last year and is still suffering from symptoms. After Charles heard his story, he contacted the presenter and put her in touch with doctors from the British court. “You wrote to me and offered me help from your doctors, so thank you very much because he made some progress,” Garraway told the British heir apparent who has also been infected with the virus.
The prince wanted to know whether her husband has since recovered. Not so, Garraway replied. “It’s ridiculous because I’ve had it too and it doesn’t bother me. And you had the same,” she said to Charles. “Yes, indeed,” he replied.
