Prince Andrew: – New documents published

British Prince Andrew (61), Queen Elizabeth (95)’s second son in a row, is currently fighting a lawsuit from Virginia Guiffre. Guiffre has previously emerged as one of the victims of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.

She claims Prince Andrew repeatedly sexually abused her in 2001, and that the abuse was facilitated by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell -. At that time she was only 17 years old. Even the prince has all the time dismissed the charges.

The prince is thus facing strong allegations of abuse, and the next few days may be decisive for the lawsuit.

Settlement

On Monday, a settlement was reached between Epstein and Giuffre in 2009, according to Sky News.

According to the prince’s lawyers, the settlement between Epstein and Giuffre in 2009 will protect him and other people from lawsuits from Giuffre. The lawyers’ hope has been that this would be a sufficient basis for the judge in the case to reject the lawsuit against the prince.

The prince asked for the settlement to be made public as he claims that it will protect him from lawsuits of the type he is now under. In the twelve-year-old settlement, Giuffre is said to have agreed not to sue any party connected to Epstein who can be described as a “possible defendant”. It reports BBC.

Prince Andrew is not explicitly mentioned in the settlement.

The documents state that Giuffre is said to have received $ 500,000 from Epstein, almost 4.5 million Norwegian kroner, to enter into the settlement. It was entered into after she sued him for, among other things, sexual abuse.

The demand, however, was that Giuffre had to sign to “release Epstein forever” for all charges, and that the same was true of other named and unnamed persons associated with Epstein.

Giuffre’s lawyers, for their part, believe that the twelve-year-old settlement is not relevant to the case she is now leading Prince Andrew.

Denies guilt

In the lawsuit, Guiffre claims that the prince abused her three times when she was 17 years old. Prince Andrew has all along denied that the accusations are true. He is currently not charged in any criminal case.

On Tuesday this week, Judge Lewis Kaplan in New York will hear the parties in a digital court hearing at ten local time. The future of the lawsuit will be decided there.

Maxwell was on his side recently found guilty, among other things, of having recruited young girls who were then sexually abused by Epstein and his friends.
