According to the “Daily Mail”, she had her lawyers announce that the British prince “was not above the law”. The prince denies any allegations.
In the abuse scandal involving US millionaire Jeffrey Epstein, a lawyer for five women asked British Prince Andrew “not to play games”. 59-year-old Royal should instead support the investigation, US lawyer Lisa Bloom said in an interview on BBC Tuesday.
Prinz is assumed to have “zero cooperation”
Prosecutor Geoffrey Berman had given the prince “zero cooperation” at a press conference in New York the day before. Epstein had committed suicide in a New York prison in August. He is said to have abused dozens of minors and forced prostitution. A woman also publicly accuses Prince Andrew of abusing her. The prince should now do the right thing and finally answer questions, Bloom said.
Buckingham Palace refused to comment on Tuesday’s allegations. This is a matter for the lawyers, it said.
Andrew had been friends with Epstein for many years and was a frequent overnight guest on his estate in the USA and the Caribbean. But he doesn’t want to have heard of his friend’s machinations. An interview, with which he actually wanted to restore his reputation, failed completely. The prince then gave up his duties as a member of the royal family for the time being.
