The couple has been dogged for some time by insinuations about marital problems, and speculation is now flared up again. A close family reunion of Prince Albert with his ex-mistress and their joint illegitimate son therefore attracts a lot of attention on social media.
On the occasion of their son Alexandre’s 20th birthday, his mother, Nicole Coste (51), organized a family reunion last Saturday, which was also attended by Prince Albert. That is remarkable, because the ex-mistress of the prince has been known for years as a ‘tormentor’ and ‘amokmaker’. She would be only too happy to take Princess Charlène’s place at court. “The people of Monaco love me more than Charlène,” Nicole claimed in an interview. “They really love and respect me.”
Their illegitimate son Alexandre also recently made himself heard. A few days ago he gave an explosive interview to the French magazine ‘Point de Vue’. In it, he expressed his frustration at being labeled the “illegitimate son” of the Monegasque monarch and threatened to sue anyone who calls him that.

However, as an illegitimate son, Alexandre has no place in the succession to the throne. He is the result of Albert’s long-standing relationship with Nicole, then a flight attendant from Togo. His existence remained a secret for a long time, until Nicole went to the French magazine ‘Paris Match’ in 2005 with the news that she had a child with Prince Albert. To substantiate her claim, she provided intimate private photos of the monarch holding and bottle-feeding his son. The prince immediately acknowledged the child, but was furious at his ex’s action.

To accompany him on his birthday, his parents now gathered. Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, the other illegitimate daughter, was also present. She was born of the prince’s short-lived relationship with the American Tamara Roll during a holiday in the south of France. As Alexandre noted in the interview with ‘Point de Vue’, “She is my older sister and I love her as I love my two older brothers on my mother’s side.”
Striking detail: a few months ago, Coste already posted a photo on Instagram of a similar meeting in New York with Alexandre and Albert. It was then the first time a photo of the three of them appeared. However, that photo was soon deleted, but now it seems that everyone can see it…
