Prince Albert: – – Should have been kept in the family

There has been a storm in the royal world in recent weeks. In early March Duchess Meghan (39) and Prince Harry’s (36) controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey (67) broadcast on television, and the reactions have not been long in coming.

“The Whole World” has witnessed what appears to be an inflamed family drama between Harry and the British royal family, led by his brother Prince William (38) and his father Prince Charles (72).

Accusations of racism in their own ranks and allegations about a family that has not lined up in a difficult time were just some of the ingredients in the several-hour conversation with Winfrey.

In retrospect, Queen Elizabeth (94) took the unusual step of commenting on the matter publicly – in a statement in which she wrote that the whole family was sorry for how the last few years have been for the duke couple.

– Does not need to be unfolded

Now no one throws less than Prince Albert (63) of Monaco into the debate surrounding Meghan and Harry. He says that the couple should keep the problems within the family.

– It is difficult to be in someone else’s place. I can understand the pressure they have been under, but I think this type of public dissatisfaction, to put it mildly, that this type of conversation should be held in the inner core of the family. It does not need to be unfolded in public that way, the prince told the BBC on Thursday, reproduced by US Magazine.

Prince Albert still admits that he can understand where Meghan and Harry’s accusations come from – despite the fact that he was also a little annoyed when he heard them.

With that said: the 63-year-old does not believe that television was the right forum to record important conversations. In the interview, Meghan and Harry claimed, among other things, that a family member must have shown concern about how dark his son Archie (1) would be at birth.

– I wish him the best. It is a difficult world there, and I hope he can have the judgment and wisdom to make the right choices, says the Monaco monarch further.

– Takes hold

Earlier this week it became known that the royal family is considering hiring a person who will work with issues related to diversity. It wrote Sky News, which has spoken to a source close to the royal family who says that the alleged problems of racism are taken very seriously.

Meghan and Harry claimed in the interview that a member of the royal family must have shown concern about the son Archie’s (1) skin color before he was born. In retrospect, Queen Elizabeth has said in a statement that these accusations will be taken up internally.

At the same time have Prince William denied that the family is racist.

The source further claimed that the royal family has the guidelines, procedures and programs in place, but that they have not seen the progress they want when it comes to representation – and that more needs to be done and improved.

This should also have been talked about even before the much talked about interview, and that the allegations that came from the duke couple of Sussex should also be part of the work.
