Prime Time: A Documentary on the History of Television Entertainment in Spain Premieres on Movistar Plus+

Movistar Plus+ sets a premiere date for the documentary on the history of television entertainment in Spain. This is ‘Prime Time’, which will hit the platform on September 15. The documentary begins with the beginnings of television, when there were only two channels. Of those two at the entrance of private channels. And from there, to DTT and the streaming era. And in between the television controls, the millionaire fight for audiences, social networks…

Entertainment on television is a fundamental part of our history and more since the nineties, when the offer in prime time was amplified to spectacular limits. ‘Prime Time’ covers, in a fun and reflective way, in three episodes the history of entertainment programs in Spain.

Through interviews with the protagonists of the programs, images of those great shows and the analysis of television experts, ‘Prime Time’ recalls great television moments of the last decades and puts them in their social and historical context.

From ‘What do we bet?’ to ‘That’s My Jam’ going through ‘Grand Prix’, ‘El Hormiguero’, ‘Martínez y Hermanos’, ‘Tu cara me suena’, ‘VIP Noche’, ‘OT’, ‘Gran Hermano’, ‘First Dates’, ‘What you need is love’, ‘Master Chef’, ‘Illustrious Ignorants’, late nights like ‘The night moves’, ‘Tonight we cross the Mississippi’, ‘Martian Chronicles’, ‘Late Motiv’ and ‘La Resistencia’ or the great programs of the heart. The list is as spectacular as some of these formats.
