Prime South urges Electricité du Liban Corporation to operate Deir Ammar and Zahrani plants to avoid interruptions in electricity supply

Prime South has informed the Electricité du Liban Corporation of the need to receive, at 5:00 pm, the operation of the Deir Ammar and Zahrani plants, after the company decided to stop operation and maintenance work.

According to the information, the company, and in the event that it does not receive electricity to operate the two factories, will stop the operating production groups, which means an interruption in the available feeding hours.

The information revealed that Prime South made this decision after its dues with EDL accumulated and amounted to 83 million dollars, of which it received only about two million dollars, confirming that the company cannot continue to work in this reality, especially since there are no indications that what EDL collects from it. Pounds will be converted into dollars to be used to operate the factories and to secure spare parts for maintenance.
