We have found chaos in many segments of the executive branch. We are trying our best to fix this. Unfortunately, we do not have enough opportunities and time, but we hope that this process will continue in the coming years. We cannot change the government in two months. This was stated by the caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev in the program “The Week” on “Darik Radio”.
He added that there is resistance to the actions of the caretaker government.
“We are aware that these difficulties are the result of systematic thinking and policy-making in a certain way over a certain period of time – what we call transition. Of course, there are people who are happy, there are people who are dissatisfied. In my opinion, most Bulgarian citizens are dissatisfied because this policy has lacked a face in recent years. We are now trying to improve the way we communicate. To improve communication between the authorities and the institutions so that it is in the interest of the people“Yanev said.
In response to a question, the caretaker Prime Minister said that does not keep statistics on how many people in the state administration have been replaced.
“The determining factor is the professionalism and accountability of everyone in government work. The work is in the public interest. The second principle is whether these people professionally perform their actions in the public interest. These are the criteria. In this regard, a number of personnel changes have already been made. they do not meet these criteria, we have appointed them, we will release them, “the caretaker prime minister said.
Regarding the fight against corruption and the effect of sanctions under Magnitsky, Yanev commented that Bulgarian citizens are aware of the problems in corruption and the problems in the public sector.
“We must protect our companies from falling into a sectional regime,” he said, expressing joy at the BNB’s instructions. In this action I see a reflection of our motivation, of the executive to take action. Both the decision of the Council of Ministers and the decision of the BNB end with an appeal to the legislature, these issues to be resolved when there is a parliament, to be resolved including at the legislative level, commented Stefan Yanev.
According to him, at this stage there is no risk for either legal entities or the banking system.
The state must provide security, justice and opportunities for citizens to prosper. The state is a state when it seeks to provide these three things, pointed out Yanev.
