Shmyhal: West has sent about a trillion hryvnias to Ukraine
Kiev received about UAH 1 trillion from international partners in 2022, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said at a government meeting.
“We have received about 1 trillion hryvnia from our international partners,” Shmyhal said. He is quoted by the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
Most of the financial assistance was provided by the United States – 410 billion hryvnia. Another 390 billion hryvnia came from EU countries. UAH 88 billion was received from the IMF, UAH 60 billion from Canada, UAH 35 billion from the UK, UAH 34 billion from the World Bank, UAH 17 billion from Japan.
Earlier, Shmygal said that the restoration of Ukraine would cost $700 billion. Asking for this amount, he noted that his calculations coincide with the estimates of the World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, Anna Bjerde, reports “National News Service».
