The Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte announced that his country will transfer patrol ships to Ukraine to protect the grain corridor. This was revealed by UNIAN.
Rutte said this at a joint briefing with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Odessa. Specifically, the Prime Minister was asked at what stage the project to transfer ships to Ukraine for demining is currently being implemented.
“We will help Ukraine get patrol ships, so the grain corridor should be maximally protected” said Rutte.
According to him, the work is being carried out, but the exact dates of delivery and the stages of training of Ukrainian personnel will not be made public, so as not to inform the Russian invaders.
Mark Rutte also noted that Ukraine, thanks to grain supplies, continues to feed the world.
“We understand that winter is approaching and that Russia will want to harm Ukraine as much as possible during this period. We have already transferred Patriot missiles to Ukraine. We have committed to send F-16s to Ukraine. We, together with Romania and Denmark have started training pilots,” Rutte said.
In turn, as Zelensky said, the Netherlands plays a leading role in the F-16 fighter coalition and the “excellent interaction” continues.

In addition, as the Prime Minister added, for Ukraine has prepared T-70 tanks and Leopard tanks.
He is convinced that it is necessary to help Ukraine.
He noted that the Netherlands has allocated 100 million euros to help Ukraine, of which 60 million euros will go to support Dutch companies, who wish to join the reconstruction of Ukraine. The aid also includes providing Ukraine with the necessary materials to prepare for the winter and, in particular, the purchase of fuel. Funds are also allocated to support the de-occupied territories.
Rutte: Putin wants to destroy Europe, he won’t stop with Ukraine if we don’t stop it now
There is “a great threat of war, it affects our security, freedom and well-being. Who is the next victim?”
The Dutch F-16s, on which the Ukrainian pilots they will learn to fly, will go to a new training center in Romania within a few weeks. Soon they will be able to make their first training flight.
