Prime Minister: President Al-Sisi has ordered the age requirement for candidates in education competitions to be changed to 40

Dr Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, in a meeting held today, Wednesday, with Dr Saleh Al-Sheikh, head of the Central Organization and Administration Agency, followed the conduct of central competitions in various ministries and agencies as he listened to a presentation by the head of the agency regarding the results of each of the competitions to fill 1,000 imam, preacher and teacher jobs at the Endowments Ministry, as well as a competition to fill 14,813 assistant positions teacher (class teacher), as well as a competition for filling 3,197 assistant teacher (preschool) positions in 14 governorates, which is the supplementary competition, after passing the electronic exam number 11,990 in the original competition.

Dr Mostafa Madbouly announced that President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, had ordered the age requirement in competitions for teaching assistant positions in the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to be changed to achieve the 40 years instead of 35, and to modify the condition for obtaining a good mark as a minimum to participate in the competition to obtain an Acceptable estimate, with a view to giving the opportunity to participate in the competition to the greatest number of young people.

The Prime Minister ordered that the results of the competitions be announced on the government job portal (https://jobs.caoa.gov.eg) and handed over to the relevant ministries to implement their affairs, so that today the results of the imams will be announced the competition, and tomorrow the outcome of the class support teacher competition and the complementary competition for a support teacher. more than 1,500 candidates electronically per day, ensuring the selection of the most qualified candidates for public offices and providing principles of transparency, integrity and justice in the selection process that gives equal opportunities between candidates, without the slightest human intervention, asking the apply for jobs to comply with the code of conduct, promote public services, and treat citizens well.

Regarding the competition for class teachers, Dr. Saleh Al-Sheikh explained that the agency opened the doors for the competition to be registered from July 2 to 24 last year, on the government job portal website, and 89.394 candidates applied for the competition to fill 14,813 jobs, the conditions applied to 60,695 candidates, of which 55,624 candidates took the online test and 14,530 of them passed it in 27 governorates.

Regarding the complementary competition for the pre-school competition, the head of the agency said that the door for submission has been opened to the competition to fill 3197 teaching assistant posts (pre-school) from 14 October to 10 November , in 14 governorates, of which 6 governorates , in which the number of candidates has not reached Number of required jobs and 8 governorates , Red Sea and Port Said, indicating that 5,765 candidates applied for the competition, 4,863 candidates satisfied conditions, 4,497 of them participated in the electronic test work, and 1,656 of them passed.

Regarding the competition for imams, preachers and teachers in the Ministry of Awqaf, the head of the agency indicated that the competition for imams was announced 15 days before the opening of the application for the competition, so that those who wish to apply can prepare the required documents, and the application door was opened “online” on the Government Job Portal website, in the period from 15 February to 2 March 2022, and the number of hours of submission reached 384 hours , while the usual hand submission in similar competitions previously extended for two weeks, with 10 working days and 60 hours of submission, and the number of applicants for the position of imam, preacher and teacher has reached 15,988 applicants, and 13,096 applicants submitted application to take the electronic test, of which 9,618 participated in the test, and 548 of them passed, after passing the electronic and oral tests.

Dr. Saleh Al-Sheikh also submitted the result of a job competition for (240) ‘quality’ engineer jobs for engineering jobs for ‘Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Communications and Computers’ at the third level of work’ C ” at the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation and its affiliated bodies, where the head of the agency explained that the door for submission has been opened. In the central announcement from February 20 to March 7, the number of applicants reached 6,280 and 5,695 applicants met the conditions required in the tender, while 4,406 candidates took part in the electronic test at the Agency’s Center for Evaluation of Capabilities and Competitions, from 23 to 29 March 293 candidates passed, including 240 engineers.
