Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Thursday (April 4) underlined the particularly important role of preschool education in the national education system as well as in the country’s human resources development strategy.

Chairing a meeting of the National Innovation Committee for Education and Training on April 4 in Hanoi, the head of government declared that preschool education constitutes a basis for human development.

He affirmed that this meeting aims to contribute opinions to the reform and development program of preschool education by 2030, with a vision for 2045.

Pham Minh Chinh said preschool education has not yet received due attention, especially in remote and remote areas and those predominantly inhabited by workers.

The Prime Minister therefore insisted on the need to continue the comprehensive reform of preschool education, to remedy weaknesses in terms of personnel and infrastructure, as well as to resolve inequalities between regions… He also ordered examine mechanisms and policies to mobilize all possible resources for preschool education.

According to a report presented at the meeting, each year, more than 5.3 million children are cared for and educated in more than 15,000 preschools and nearly 16,000 other establishments across the country, of which 56.9% meet the standards national.
