Today, Tuesday, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, chaired the meeting of the Higher Ministerial Committee for Hajj, attended by Dr. Muhammad Mokhtar Gomaa, Minister of Endowments, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, and Nevin Al-Qabbaj, Minister of Solidarity, Lieutenant General Muhammad Abbas Helmy, Minister of Civil Aviation, Hassan Shehata, Minister of Labor, Ahmed Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Major General Alaa Al-Ahmadi, Deputy Minister of Interior for Administrative Affairs Sector, Ambassador Ismail Khairat, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs and officials from a number of relevant agencies.
The Prime Minister indicated that this meeting was convened on the occasion of the start of the preparations and arrangements for the upcoming Hajj season and said that there are already coordination meetings that have already been held with our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding the Hajj season, where various details related to that matter were discussed.
The Prime Minister directed the continuation of the preparatory meetings taking place between the Egyptian authorities concerned, as well as coordination meetings with the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In order to ensure the provision of all necessary services to Egyptian pilgrims and facilitate all their affairs, with the cancellation of the Hajj at the expense of the state for this year and reduce the number of pilgrim service missions to a minimum.
