"My wife’s mother saw a neighbor’s house in Gaza, about 17 meters away, being bombed, while an 8-year-old child was flying through the air due to the strike. He added that his brother-in-law is still working as a doctor in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, and that one of his duties was "Find out which body the human remains belong to".

On the other hand, the Prime Minister of Scotland praised the success of the COP28 Conference of the Parties, currently held in Dubai, in activating the Loss and Damage Fund to compensate the most vulnerable countries from the repercussions of climate change, noting that his government was the first in the northern world to pledge financial contributions to finance the fund.
He pointed out the need to ensure the ability to finance the fund and the participation of countries in this matter, as well as ensuring that the funds are distributed in a way that does not add burdens to the weak developing countries in the world that already suffer from the burden of debt.
He added that Scotland can be a leader in addressing climate change, as it has some of the most ambitious global targets in this field, noting in this context that his country will host the COP26 Conference of the Parties in Glasgow in 2021.
