According to the Prime Minister of Hungary, at the beginning of the conflict only military equipment was given to Ukraine, followed by sanctions and sending money.
“Money, equipment, weapons, but the situation is not improving, in fact it is getting worse. We are one step away from the West sending troops to Ukraine. This is a round of war that could drag Europe down. Brussels is playing with fire, tempting God,” Orban warned.
The national government does not want war, just as it does not want Hungary to become a plaything again in the hands of the great powers, so peace must be maintained everywhere – “here at home, in Brussels, in Washington, in the United Nations and in NATO,” said Orban. He proposed a clear guarantee that, as long as the country was led by a national government, Hungary would not enter to the Russian-Ukrainian war on both sides.
